Rozanne Gold

I have lived on Waiheke and worked with Waiheke Health Trust for 21 years.  Prior to moving to Waiheke I worked in community mental health.

In a previous life, I worked in the performing arts and contemporary dance world. I was a foundation member of one of the first contemporary Māori Dance Groups, choreographing, performing and touring with them.  This was a once in a life time experience and very enriching.

Being the mother of a daughter of Cook Islands heritage I have a deep respect and appreciation of Pacific island culture and dance.  I was part of Avaiki, a Waiheke based Cook Islands dance group, choreographing and performing to support different community events on the island.

I am very grateful for the opportunity to live, work and raise my daughter in such a wonderful community and environment as Waiheke Island.

I am really passionate about Social Work as a profession. Being able to work with people in a manner that identifies and draws on their strengths and skills and respects their lived experience is an honour.  I truly value and respect the privilege people afford me as a social worker to enter into their lives to work with them to ensure a positive process and outcome is experienced.
