I am a Registered Nurse and have spent most of my career specialising in cancer care and healthcare management and have lived and worked in Melbourne for the past 37 years.
I have had a long association with Waiheke as my parents retired here in the 1980’s and I have loved the island ever since. It has always been a dream to come and live here.
When the role of General Manager for the Waiheke Health Trust became available mid 2017 it was a perfect opportunity for me to be able to live and work on Waiheke, and to be able to use my experience and make a meaningful contribution to health care of the local community.
I live out at Orapiu and love being surrounded by native bush and birds and enjoy magnificent views of Orapiu Bay, Ponui and Rotoroa islands, and over to the Coromandel, and this provides me with a perfect backdrop for working in the garden and long walks around the coastal paths which I enjoy doing in my leisure time.
I also have lots of friends and family that visit from around NZ and from Australia and it is always a pleasure to show them around beautiful Waiheke sampling the good food and wine on offer.
