Waiheke Tennis Club donation keeps Trust team moving

posted in: General News

On behalf of everyone at the Waiheke Health Trust and the community we serve, our heartfelt thanks, once again to the incredible team at Waiheke Tennis Club for their ongoing support of the mahi the team at the Trust does.

Over the past few years, donations from this thriving island club have, quite literally, kept our team moving around the motu as we have used their generous donations to replace our aging and rather fragile fleet of vehicles.

We were thrilled to receive a further $20,000 from the club from the proceeds of their Tour de Tennis event which is held at private courts around the island, with the finals played at Onetangi Sport Park.
This will be used to purchase another vehicle and keep others running well.

Waiheke Health Trust is a charitable trust and the public health funding we receive covers (most of) the services we provide, but not equipment or infrastructure such as buildings. We are deeply appreciative of the donations we receive.
