Ostend Medical Centre belongs to the Waiheke Health Trust. The Waiheke Health Trust’s team of more than 40 dedicated healthcare professionals provide a range of primary healthcare and community services to our Waiheke community, including Home Support, WellChild, Community Nursing, Allied Health, Radiology, Healthy Homes, Meals on Wheels, and General Practice services at Ostend Medical Centre.
Our vision is for everyone on Waiheke to be able to live well with easy access to quality healthcare throughout their life. To make this possible, we are committed to providing co-ordinated, sustainable services on the island that serve whole community needs and Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles.
A registered charity with an annual budget of $3m, the Trust is entering an exciting phase. Initiatives to upgrade our infrastructure are underway, and we are preparing to embrace developments that may result from the
government’s Health & Disability System reforms.
To progress these initiatives and respond to changes in the health sector, the board seeks additional trustees.
